THE BASICS:

Travel to Uganda: All visitors are responsible for their own travel to Entebbe Airport outside Kampala.  In general, ticket prices have been averaging $2000, but prices can vary dramatically.  We will arrange for airport pick up at Entebbe and be your host for everything from that point forward.

Guesthouse living quartersAccommodations: The AOET Guesthouse is located in Bugembe in the heart of the main community we serve.  It is walking distance to both the medical clinic and the Primary School and offers cozy shared rooms with bunk beds, showers and electricity.

Meals: The AOET Guesthouse staff provide a delicious breakfast and dinner at the Guesthouse.  (Trust us, Jaja is a great cook. You will not lose weight in Uganda!)  Lunches will be with the staff or you will have access to food to pack a small lunch.

Costs: Room and board costs $20 a day plus a $50 per person transportation fee to cover the airport pick-up, drop-off, and transport around the Jinja area. Additonally, all volunteers will pay an additional one-time $200 administrative fee on top of per day costs.

Optional Outings:  Arrangements can be made for additional adventures like safaris, game parks or touring local attractions.  This can be discussed with team leaders and the additionall costs can be estimated.
